Social Media Marketing for B2B Companies

As appreciation for the impact social media has on business success continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important that companies demonstrate a strong presence on the digital marketing platforms. A recent survey by Hub Spot found 93% of social media users believe a company should be on social media, while an overwhelming 85% said a company should not only be present, but also interact with its consumers via social media.

“Leveraging social media for branding and awareness-building can help humanize B2B companies, establish them as thought leaders, and offer new touchpoints for connecting with customers and prospects,” said Kimerbly Maul, writer and analyst at eMarketer.

B2B companies are doing great things with social media:

  • Cisco saved more than $100,000 in expenses and had 90 times the attendance by using social media to revamp their product launch strategy for the release of a new router.
  • Kinaxis, a supply chain management company, saw a 2.7 times increase in web traffic and 3.2 times increase in leads thanks to a social media campaign.
  • Popular correction fluid brand Tipp-Ex created an interactive YouTube experience that went viral within 36 hours and increased sales by 30%.

Social media marketing is not only beneficial to B2B marketing strategies – it’s essential.
